Hello all, bit of a weird message to post on christmas day but have to say am worried at the moment. Am 27 M and a IT consultants have had very few run ins with the police apart from 3 cautions for cannabis posseion.

Basically I had a friend who I new for nearly 4 years, we were in the middle of restoring a old motorbike project and one day in his garage we sat down rested and he pulled out a bag and passed it. When I opened the bad there was a bag of white powder that he said was cocaine and some weird crystal stuff that he said was MDMA am clearly stating that I had a look at the bads an def touched it because I've never seen anything like it before. Anyway I gacve it right back to him and we carried on with the bike. About 3 weeks after me and my friend decide to take a really short notice trip to holland for 5 days and seeing as he said he would pay I said no probs so while we were in holland on the second day he gets a call from police saying they are at his home and clearly want to speak to him.

As at this point I'm not really concered as I'm not do with anything with it and am more worried about him and what he is going to do about the situation. Anyway he is to keen about coming back to the UK and he don't want to go prision so I said for him to call legal advice and speak to someone, he then found out that for the amount he had in his home it would most likely be a 6 year sentence so that maid himmore worry. As the week was coming to a close I started to get ready to go back to the airport and he basically begged me to stay for a extra week so he can sort stuff out and what not so I said OK and that was it. After that week I became verty ill with a stomach bug and for 3 days was sick as a dog so I decided enough is enough I have to go home can't keep working off a notebook and went home. Anyway when I returned he asked me to get his card from his wife and get money gold etc etc and send him the money so again being bit stupid I did it and that was that. So more to the point me and him get into a argument that he need to take responcability for his actions and to look after his family and get on with the problem at hand and very harsh words were exchanged anyway as I won't do anymore for him now and money has dried up for him he has decided to return to the uk. Through my Mrs I have heard indirectly that he is angry with me and that he think I turned my back on him and that I could have done more ( I know bloody cheek ) and that karma works in weird ways, so lately I have been worrying what happens if the police find my prints on the bag. As I don't want to be looking at the inside of a prision because I looked at a bag and went away for 2 weeks with a so called friend. My Mrs is also a bit worried and that is the main reason for the post.

I am so sorry this is long winded but I thought it is best for you to have the whole truth an nothing but it :)

If someone can help me out of give me some adivce that would be great.

Merry Christmas

If and when they find your prints on the bag, and request that you come down to the station to "answer a few questions", get yourself a lawyer first.

I doubt that they will be able to get complete prints from a bag you touched several weeks ago, complete enough to identify you. And, frankly, that doesn't seem to make enough of a case to bother with. What seems more suspicious is the fact that you went to the Netherlands, and spent some time there, with this person.

Don't worry too much about it. But if they question you, and after you have retained a lawyer, your explanation seems reasonable enough.

While most likely they will not even check the bag for prints ( you are watching too much TV)
And if this was in his home, they would arrest everyone in the home most likely.

But if they wanted to make a case,
1. your prints are on the bag, if there is any dust from the drugs in the oil on the print, it will show you touched it with drugs in it.
2. next you were with them when they found out they were being investigated and sent money to help them ellude the police.
3. if he is really mad at you, he may even blame you to get out of it somewhat.

So if contacted, do not say a word at all, no comment, and then hire an attorney

4. Men have went to prison for less

Hello P:

If it was a KILO bag, or a multi KILO bale, they MIGHT check for prints.. But, on a STASH bag - NEVER.
