My 2006 Ford Escape gas pedal locks up especially in the cold and to get it to work you need to push it continuously for like ten minutes to make it work again. I check the throttle body that doesn't seem to be the problem what could be the problem?

Check the routing of the throttle cable. There may even be a bracket it popped loose from. Try lubricating the cable with WD-40.

My truck's gas pedal randomly will lock and I can't push it all. The throttle body is good and the cable is good. I put WD-40 on the cable already that did not help. But I noticed the bushing is out? Could this be the problem? And can I just put the bushing back in or do I need to buy a whole new cable? Any ideas?

My truck's gas pedal randomly will lock and I can't push it all. The throttle cable when I pull it won't move.. I put WD-40 on the cable spindle already that did not help. Any other ideas what it could be?
