I am still at a lost with this, Here is the situation, Supposely my old girlfriend had a judgment granted to her on money I owed her in 1995,, I never received anything telling me about this or anything in 1995.
It is now 2007 and I have just received a notice of Examination from some paralegal she hired. She now wants the 4,000.00 plus another 10,000.00 in interest paid to her.
Is there anything with the SOL that can save me here or am I screwed

If a judgement was previously granted then you need to told when and where. If the judgement was granted before the SOL on the contract, then its now moot. The question now becomes whether the judgement needed to be renewed and if it was.

Supposely in was in Feb 1995 in the city she lived in and then transferred to the city I lived in. I went to the court house in my city today and they told me it was transferred back to her city. Meanwhile I have not received anything all these years.

You need to contact the court where the judgement was issued from, and review the materials on file. Also if you were not properly served you can attempt to file a motion to get it over turned. Also judgements do expire, many do after 10 years but can be renewed. You need to investigate the judgement

I don't have time because the court where the judgment was issued states it is still in the city I'm in and the city I'm in states they can get it in three days but my court date is tomorrow.
