Hi I was involved in an rta on the 19/11/2012 when a young lady pulled out on me in my work van and hit me head on,I was taken to hospital and have got ankle ligament damage and a back problem,as my work are unable to pay me it was going to be down to her insurance, admiral,to help me out with an interim payment,I've not been paid a penny from them, all my bills are behind and my rent, also with xmas here I've 3 girls who I'm unable to buy any presents for,I've a solicitor working for me but he says admiral are not wanting to help,I've had a medical and they have everything they need to send an interim payment out,I'm just very angry as I know I won't receive anything now this side of xmas so means my family have to suffer, the girl who caused this hasn't had to deal with being off work and not getting paid.I need help

This is fairly normal and it can take months to start getting paid they know if they make it hard enough you may settle for less

Not sure what help you expect from us? I'm assuming this occurred in the UK. With socialized medicine aren't your medical bills being taken care of?

As for the rest, if her insurance is not offering interim payments to cover your living expenses, then you have to file suit. Since you have a solicitor, their advice would probably be a lot better than what we can tell you.

Don't they have worker's comp. (or the equivalent) in Britain?

No, apparently not: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Workers%27_compensation#United_Kingdom. Interesting.
