Hello
My Frigidaire oven just made a loud pop noise. A small flash, and then it shut the power off to the while house. I reset the breaker and got power back but the oven doesn't work. It also initially gave off an odd smell. It is only electric (no gas).

Anyone have any ideas what may be wrong? It's about 6 years old so I don't want to invest in a repair man if ishouldnjust buy a new one.

Yes, you burned out the oven element and it shorted to case. You will need to replace it.
