4 weeks ago we took on a new 4 year old rescue male collie to be a companion to our existing 22 month old extremely.intelligent well trained feisty female collie. We had lots of advice on how to introduce the two and all went well. Three days later I fell and broke my right wrist and leg. This left my husband to do all my jobs, take out the dogs, and carry on with his work ( mostly from home.) suddenly everything changed for our dog and she wasn't happy. I also got a new excellent dog walker to help out. Poppy became the dominant dog which was surprising as the male was twice her size. She has started to poo and wee in the house and retreats into bolt holes. She has also become aggressive to the male dog. I was her main trainer and have done agility with her. The dogs get about 2hours walk off lead with ball a day. How do I deal with the wees and poos and nervous behaviour? Do you think it will get back to a new normal when I am out of plaster and am able to walk without a crutch? What can my husband do in the meantime?

I guess you were the alpha dog, and your husband and the dog walker aren't filling in.
You need to stand up and give orders to her each day, whatever you can do without running around.
She may associate your injury with the new dog. Time should cure this as you get better. Gate or crate her for a while to stop the peeing in the house.
