Hello, I have removed a ceiling fan from my kitchen and have a new light to replace it with. I understand the basic, white to white and black to black wiring, but the wiring in the ceiling has one single black wire, and then a white wire that is also wrapped together with 2 black wires. In this case... which wires should go where? I am a little confused by this set up. Thank you for any help!

single black wire, and then a white wire that is also wrapped together with 2 black wires.
One of the two black wires brings power to the box, the other takes it on to the next fixture. The white wire that is connected to the 2 black wires goes to the switch. The single black wire brings power back from the switch when the switch is on. There should also be two white wires connected together. Those are your neutrals.
Connect the white wire of the light fixture to the neutral (the two white wires). Connect the black wire of the fixture to the single black wire from the ceiling.

How was the old one installed? Can you backtrack and figure it out from that fixture? Do both the old and new fans have the same features?
