I was sentenced to 1 year of probation related to a possession of marijuana charge. I have been trying to quit smoking but I just haven't been able to quit despite my best efforts. I have been clear and open with my probation officer and therapist about my inability to quit but they seem unsympathetic.

My question is, what happens if I really can't quit and I get sent back to court? I am on a first time offenders program. I have been told by my therapist that jail time isn't possible because this is my first time ever being in any kind of trouble, but I want to know what I'm in store for if I seriously can't quit smoking MJ. I am in VA by the way. What will happen to me? Will I be put on more probation? My license is already restricted and I'm already doing 24 hours of community service... Will I be sentenced to do even more community service and will my license be suspended? What will most likely happen assuming I can't quit?

Violate probation and of course jail time is possible, and you lose first offender program and this stays on your record.

And of course you can stop, that is what 3 months in jail will do for you perhaps.

You stop buying it and then stop smoking it. Just a lack of will power.

I'm not impressed with your answer. After looking up your other responses, you reveal yourself as a troll.

That being said, I have confirmed jail time is not on the table... so, how about someone who isn't going to talk out his ?
