I have had vaginal irritation for most days over the last 3 months! I am about to go crazy and need help. It started after having sex multiple times. (We want to get pregnant). I tried difflucan and flagyl in case it was a yeast or bacterial infection. I finally went to the gyn who did cultures, which were all negative. I saw a nurse practitioner who said it was probably irritation. I am using the dove sensitive soap and tucks pads. When I finally feel better and have sex, it happens again. I am so uncomfortable that I have had to leave work early a few times. I use cotton underwear and have not worn tight pants. What should I do?? I have vaginal swelling and irritation/burning. No discharge. No odor.

You shaved/waxed?Could be friction burn. Lube. Use lots of lube. Make sure you're good and lubbed up before you have sex.

I've had irritation from hair/friction before. This is way beyond that... it's slightly inside and outside too. And lasting way to long.

Apply itchguard cream in affected area & I want to suggest 1 more thing that take a hot water bath after having sex and properly clean your vagina during bath. It can be effective.

I would be more inclined to use a hot shower. Bath water is bacteria laden. No dove soap, but do recommend Netragena hypoallergenic soap. Cream soaps such as dove are too laden with lotion. And absolutely no douching. Douching destroys Ph balance in vagina.

Might also be time to get it looked at by a professional. Both you and your partner.

I saw that. Maybe a different one. Sounds like more than a simple skin irritation. Unless it is a contact allergy, but what, besides soap and her boy, is touching that area?

Vibrator, many germs if you are not consistently cleaning. Douching is deadly.?

Douching is deadly. Kind of counterproductive if they're trying for a child though. The normal flora shouldn't be disturbed. There are the sex toys and if she's got an allergy to those than I could see it.
Though it seems more like it is happening after sex. Plain Vanilla Sex. *shrug* Could be anything t be honest. He could be performing oral and have something in his mouth that is irritating her lady bits.
