View Full Version : Just took an EtG test and had some questions regarding the test/my dilution method?

First I'll start with the obvious, my drinking. Prior to the test I basically drank 6 beers per day for the week leading up to it. So from Monday Dec. 3rd through Friday Dec. 7th (today is the Monday, Dec. 10th following that week). Also on that Friday I was at a work party so I had about 9 beers total that night. Then Saturday, Dec. 8th I had 6 beers again.

Yes I know, that the prior week/weekend binge was foolish in itself. But regardless my concerns remain.

I just took an EtG this morning at 7:50am. Yesterday, Sunday the 9th, I had three 10oz glasses of orange juice, two 23oz Arizona green teas, one 24oz Monster energy drink, one 12oz can of coke, and ten 10oz glasses of water, so approximatlet 212oz of liquid in hopes of flushing system.

This morning, the 10th, form 6am-730am, I consumed two more 16oz monsters, a glass of water, and two vitamin b12 pills. This was in hopes of retaining color and the monsters to keep up my creatinine levels.

As for the color, it came out fairly clear and had a tint of nuclear/green/yellow. Prior to the test, the probation tester asked me if I had drank and said if I had, that I shouldn't take the test, admit that I did drink, so as not to look "stupid" before the judge. Oh and he said because the test can go back 7-10days (doubtful).

Well, I called his bluff and took the test. I know I sound arrogant and again, foolish, but I really can't mess up my probation and have learned my lesson so I'm no longer going to drink, although I'm sure everyone on here will think otherwise.

Regardless, what do you think my chances of passing the test are?
Do you think my attempt at purging a good portion of EtG on Sunday helped? Or that the basically pure Monster/water combo that I peed will fail for dilution, or could the compounds in the Monster could have helped make the pee look legitimate?

Oh I forgot to mention; I have a freakishly fast metabolism and am 6' and weigh 155lbs.

Please let me know if I left anything out.

Thanks

The chances of alcohol showing on your test is about 100% if I read your timeline correctly. Your attempts to flush your system with other drinks has very little affect of the unreliable EtG test

I must agree with ballengerb1. While not 100%, chances are very high that you will show EtG. You have less than 36 hours after BAC 0 (and probably less). Do you know the cutoff? It would have to be 1000 + for you to have much of a chance. Post your results when you get them.

Well I haven't yet received a call from last Monday's test and its now the following Monday, so I oddly enough believe I passed..

Stranger things have happened... they may have tested you for ETOH instead of EtG. Consider yourself lucky this time. I would not use this as a "passing guide" for yourself to establish a time between drinking and testing.

Thank you for your update!

I wouldn't either lol.. but thanks for your responses... there's still the possibility that probation officer is just waiting until January for my next meeting to talk to me about it... do you think they would've called had I failed?

Yes, they typically call (or bring you in) as soon as they know.

However I still agree with RNBSN
