Hello Everybody,

So here is my problem. I have been dating this girl for 18 months and there are a few things that really annoy me and hurt my feelings.

First, ever since I first started saying 'I love you', I would ALWAYS be the one to say it first. She would reply "I love you too". I would drop her little texts during the day and say "Hey hun, just wanted you to know I'm thinking about you and I love you". I would do and say things like that often.

After awhile of being the one to always say it first, I told her in a calm manner how I felt and that it bothered me that she never told me she loved me first. She apologized and said she really loves me... Well, it didn't change anything. She still never says it first after I told her how it hurt me, nothing has changed.

Second, she gets very inconsiderate and rude. She shows absolutely no interest in my work, but I ALWAYS help her and get involved with her work. For the past week I have been preparing for a HUGE meeting for my work. She knew this and knew it was VERY important to me. She asked no questions and didn't care at all... UNTIL... she found out that the meeting had to do with professional female models and actresses... Right away she said "Well do you want me to come with you, I think it would be interesting to sit in the meeting with you and see what goes on". First of all, I couldn't take her in a meeting, it would be unprofessional... second she just wanted to come to keep an eye on me.

I had my meeting this morning... and can you believe she didn't even text me to see how it went... Nothing... not to say hi or anything. I haven't heard from her since last night. It hurts because I am always there for her and it would have really meant a lot to me if she just sent me a quick text saying "Hey, how did the meeting go?" But no, I guess I'm not worth it... Advice please!

No, this is my first time posting here. My brother is on here, but he hasn't talked to his ex in weeks. He told me this is a good place to get advice and ask questions.

You're very needy.

You expect her to do things that you yourself would do, and then complain because you're the only one doing them. You can't make her act a certain way. If you can't accept the way she is, that she doesn't say I love you every time she texts, or every 5 minutes, and that she has no interest in your work, then find someone that does. She is who she is. Either love her for that, or leave her to find someone that can better fulfill your needs.
