So I started to date this 16 yo girl from one of my class. I'm 18, I didn't like her at first, but she was interested in me. I see her as the goody-goody type, not ugly nor pretty. I'm usually very picky but... One day I got a call from her and her friends if I want to go ice skating with them. Big problem... Don't know how to ice skate, went anyway. This girl held my hand and taught me how to ice skate for an hour until I can run with skates! So homecoming was around the corner so I thought maybe I should go with her and go on a few dates see if the feelings grow. Homecoming ended up great... Asked her out on slow dance she said yes(maybe I shouldn't have?) I don't know if I rushed it but... Everything was great for 2 months we spent time together and feelings starting to grow. And our school had this $310 school trip, we both plan to go and her best friend tag along as well. Friday night, we were chillen... And I asked her if she wants to go chill in my room... She said no and I said OK fine. No big deal... But then we were going to see this theater play, I left my pass I her room damn... Can't go so I chill with this other dude in my room and I called her I couldn't go cause I left it in her room and my ex already went ahead with her best friend she said OK and hang up. 5 minutes later she called, my phone lost signal twice so I can't pick up the phone. She thought I hung up on her and she got pissed. The dance is there, she is all mad and moody... Because she thought I was trying to get her alone in my room and in hung up on her twice. Which I'm with this dude anyway even if I hung up not like I was with another girl. So last day I feel like she neglecting me and just talk to her best friend, I feel like a third wheel. So salsa class is over, a girl came by to me and ask me for my number. My ex was walking ahead of me 15 feet away, but I took the girl's phone and I handed it back to her telling her I got a girlfriend. My ex girlfriend assumed I gave her my phone number and got mad again. On the way back home she told me she couldn't trust me at all which is a problem and she dumped me wow... Lol the girl I first had no feeling with at all dumped me. To be honest she's my first girlfriend, yeah I'm very picky. I know I didn't do anything wrong, if you guys think I did something wrong then tell me. So few days later I really felt like I'm missing her because we spent so much time together and I felt like I missed something. I asked her if there is a chance we could get back together she told me she doesn't feel the same way like she use to be when the relationship first start. She's a really nice girl and I don't think she's the player type, she made a clean break which is good. I know if she want to go back I shouldn't because all the drama is not worth it but my question is, what went wrong? How did she lose her feelings? And did I do something wrong? I don't understand... Do girls usually just lose feelings when she get bored with a guy?

She's 16, you are legally an adult... forget this one because she is still a kid in more ways than one...
Kids act like this... there is a lot more than just two years at play here... that is a huge difference in maturity at this stage of life.

Is it really because of the age? So if I date mature women it will be different?

Believe it or not.. the difference between 16 year old girls and 18 year old women is far more than two years suggests... there is a LOT of maturing both genders undergo during the late teens through the mid 20's. There is a big difference from 18 to 20 as well.
What a teenage girl wants is rarely what she still wants by the time she is in her early 20's.
Its much the same for guys too... you might not see it now but for those of us who have already been through those phases in life and can look back its very profound and pretty obvious.
Being 18 doesn't automatically bestow you with the wisdom of the ages... you have to learn it.. and that's going to take a lot of years to come. But in time you too will see what I'm telling you. The difference between 16 and 18 is far greater than it is between 30 and 50.
You and her can not see things the same way because of those two years.
