I'm 22 and lately I find it really hard to go to the toilet (poo). In my last job I used to eat a lot of fried breakfasts and I could always clear myself out properly. Now I work in an office and eat much healthier- sandwiches and fruit for lunch.

But whenever I go to the toilet (I can feel that I need to go) I can never push it out. If I try to push it just seems to hurt my stomach muscles but not do any good. If I sit there for about 15-20 minutes usually it will come but not really a lot. I never seem to be able to get it out if it is firm (which I'm told with a healthy diet it should be), only when it's very soft (this happens if I've been out drinking the previous night).

Anyone got any suggestions? I thought maybe it's because I'm sat down most of the day, or maybe I'm just blocked up and need to buy some ex-lax and flush myself out?

Are you drinking enough water during the day (atleast 8 glasses)? How much fiber do you get during the day? Make sure the sandwich bread is a whole wheat bread with a high fiber content and eat fruits high in fiber. When I started working out and changed my diet, I had the same problem. It was fixed when I increased my water intake. Yes, alcohol adds to dehydration so that explains constipation the next morning.
Also, research the product called Colonix. It helps clean out your insides, including toxins you've been unable to excrete.

Peptobismol, or poopin-powder(laxatives or whatever it is that makes you go) or just hold it until you feel like it's going to explode
