We just bought a new gas range with a double oven. It cannot be pushed back to the wall because the gas fixture coming out of the wall is 1) too high by about 3 inches and 2) sticks out about 4 inches too far. There is a metal plate on the backside of the range that only allows for about 3 inches of pipe space and is too low to match up with the fixture coming out of the wall. Is there an "elbow" pipe I can purchase to get the fixture to connect to the side rather than in the front, thus lessening the amount it sticks out from the wall? Maybe that would work if we raised the stove by 3 inches? Any other suggestions?

There can be any number of things that can be causing you to not sleep or sleep well. For your age, there's a lot happening with your body and hormones. There's not much sense of what and how they affect any one person. This may pass after some time.
Another thought is how active are you? Go for a run, get on the treadmill, do something that will wear you down. Your body and mind go hand in hand. If you aren't doing much with your body then your not doing much with your brain. It stays too active. The more active you are the easier it is to sleep and stay asleep.
Messing things up? Congratulations, you are human. Whether you realize it or not we all mess up. Sometimes more so than others and sometimes more often than others. It doesn't matter whether you are 12 or 72. We all mess up. People just don't brag about their mess ups. Actually, the most successful people in the world are the ones that have messed up the most. It took Thomas Edison 10,000 tries before he invented the light bulb. I don't think you've messed up that much. Messing up is not a bad thing as long as you learn from it. Heck, it still takes a few times messing up before I get it right and I'm pretty successful.
Not knowing what you are to do in life? First, there's not just one thing that you will do in life that will make a difference. We're put here for each other. To help each other and to make a difference. A smile to someone who is lonely is priceless. As far as figuring out what you are to do as job, you've got plenty of time. Did you know that 70%, 7 out 10 college graduates will end up in a job that they didn't get their degree in. My advise is to try a lot of different things as you grow older, see which ones appeal to you. You'll be happiest with something you enjoy doing.
You just don't know anymore? That happens to all of us. When I feel like I'm lost or don't know what I should be doing, I make a list of things I want to do, should do or would make someone else happy if I did them. Then I would start working on them. I also will pray for guidance.
Hang in there. The adolescent and teenage years are tough but I know you can make it through. Choose good and smart friends and you will go far.

Hi campbells and welcome, there are many different fittings. The way you ask the question you probably don't own the tools needed to change the plumbing. You could have a plumber come in and make the changes for you. Good luck

Sorry my responses got mixed up with another question. I was responding to a youth question. I am a part-time youth worker.
I did have an answer for you. I wouldn't raise the range up 3". As another answered, dealing with gas, it's important that any changes are done right. Many gas connections use compression fittings at the hook up and there is a knack to making sure they seal correctly. I would suggest having a plumber come in and adjust the pipe down and at the right angle to get as close a flush fit as possible.
