Moblie home furnace # E1EB010HA. No a/c.

Our furnace kept cutting out, luckily our nephew is an HVAC man so he went through it and pretty much rebuilt it just because he could. Everything was fine for a few weeks and now it's back to cutting out every few days if it is running constantly ~ which it is because it's cold outside.

He says the only thing that it could be is the thermostat. Our home is 15 yrs old. We cannot find the same style thermostat and wondered what we should replace it with. We have an electrician friend who can install the thermostat, just need to know what kind & where we can get it.

Thanks, Polly

I have waited 2 days for an answer about a furnace thermostat... still waiting. Waste of my time.

This isn't a chat site; we are all volunteers here who have real lives and jobs. The HVAC experts may be busy with other stuff and haven't been able to get online for whatever reason, or maybe are checking to find an answer to your question. Please be patient. I will *bump* your question to bring it back to the top of the list.

And welcome to the site!

Never mind, I already have the answer from another source. Thermostat bought 10 minutes ago!

What's the point in joining ASK?
I have waited 2 days for an answer about a furnace thermostat... still waiting. Waste of my time.

I guess the next question is what was the first question?

I merged the two threads so now the HVAC question is at the beginning of the thread.

Well, I guess the point of joining ASK is your hopes of getting free info and knowledge. Many times we can make this come true. However, many times we just can't get there soon enough. Sorry for the delay. Just glad you got it taken care of. What type of stat did you end up purchasing? Any conventional type stat should do the job. Just make sure to go through the programming, or setup to make sure your new stat will work as efficiently as possible with your electric furnace. Most new stats come with option of set up for electric, 80%, 90+%, hot water, steam, etc. Just make sure yours is set correctly.

This is all assuming your stat is 24v.

You have given us a model number of some heater but nothing else. Brand name? Brand of thermostat?
