First thing you have to do is figure out how many boxes were received. So the amount paid, which is $20 divided by cost per box, which is $5 equals the number of boxes received.

Now you know the number of boxes received now take this number and divide it by the total number of doughnuts received, which is 52 to get your answer of how many doughnuts are in each box.
