It is true that you add exponents when multiplying numbers that have a common base - hence:

a^b \times a^c = a^{(b+c)}

For example:

2^3 \times 2^5 \times 2^{-2} = 2^{(3+5-2)} = 2^6

Use this same process on your problem.
