I live in a rental house, and I hate bothering my landlords. They are nice enough people, I would just prefer to do as much as I can myself since they are getting up in years and tend to take a long time to do anything.
I've lived in the house I'm renting for 5 years. Around 9 months ago I started noticing a light mold smell coming from the shower. I took off the showerhead and soaked it in bleach, rinsed it many times, and reattached it. The smell nearly disappeared, then came back. So I removed the showerhead and replaced it. Again, the smell almost went away, but came back within a few days. Now the smell is getting in my hair when I shower and I am scared something is really wrong. I have tried running the hot water on full for 20 minutes through the shower/faucet, but it didn't help. The most confusing part is that I don't get a moldy smell from the kitchen or bathroom sinks.
I don't know who to talk to, and I can't find this exact problem online, so I thought I could find help by asking someone. Please help! I need to fix this problem so I don't feel dirty coming out of the shower!
Thank you so much!
