I want to know if I need a bra. I am 9. My best friends says I need one,but my mom says no. I have 2 at home, but my mom doesn't let me wear them. Should I ask Her if I can wear them? Please help!

Most 9 year olds don't need a bra.

The way to know when you need one is if your breasts are growing, and it's starting to hurt when you run or play, because you lack support in that area.

A lot of girls are so eager to get their first bra, even though they really don't need one.

Trust me, it's only a novelty in the beginning. When you get older, bras are a pain in the... they're not fun. I hate bras. They're uncomfortable, I have to spend a small fortune to get one that fits me right, and even then, as soon as I get home from work, I take it off. I hate it.

Enjoy this time. Don't be in such a hurry to grow up. You've got plenty of time to be grownup, but you only have a few short years to be a child. Be a child. That's what you're meant to be right now.

No. This site tells you the facts, and the truth. It doesn't tell you what you want to hear, just because you want to hear it.

I won't say "yes, you need to wear a bra", just because you want to wear a bra. You're 9! It's unlikely that you need to wear a bra at your age.

If you want someone to agree with everything you write, then talk to your friends.

Our answers are based on facts, and only facts.

If you can't handle that, then no, this site isn't for you. Frankly, I don't think a 9 year old should be on this site to begin with. I wish we had an age restriction. This place is too grown up for a child.

You're a sweet child, but you're not mature enough to ask questions, or accept the answers you get. For that reason alone, you shouldn't be posting here. I don't expect you to understand that, because you're a child, but when you grow up, hopefully you'll get what I'm saying.

Well Thanks for hurting my feelings. You don't seem so nice anymore. Don't expect me to listen to you. Just get out of my life. Don't try to talk to me anymore. I mean it. Please don't be mad at me. P.S. you made me cry. Thanks for ruining my day and calling me immature. I am sorry for ruining your day and annoying you with my Questions.

You can't dictate who writes on this thread. Anyone that's a member of this site can answer this thread. An adult would understand that, and accept that.

How is calling you immature, something bad? You are immature. You're 9! You're supposed to be immature. You're a child. I don't expect a child to be mature. It wasn't an insult, and it wasn't meant to hurt your feelings.

The fact that pointing out the fact that you're a child, not mature enough to handle a site like this, and that made you cry, just furthers my point.

Kiddo, I don't want to make you cry, but if you can't even handle someone pointing out that you're a child, immature, then that just shows that you shouldn't be posting here. You're not old enough. You can't handle it.

I'm not mad at you. You're 9, and you're acting like a 9 year old, I didn't expect you to act any other way. The thing is, this isn't a place where acting like a 9 year old, is okay. It's not a place for children. You can't understand that, which is why you shouldn't be here.

Good bye, and good luck.

No one tried to hurt your feelings Alty tried to help you. You insulted her and this site by saying you couldn't find help here when you got very good help.

We can't tell if you need a bra without seeing you. So the best judge is your mother. You show her how you have developed and ask if its time to wear the bras you have or get ones that fit properly.
