I've been trying to figure this movie out for years. I watched it when I was a kid and all I remember is that it's either 1980 or 1990 movie. It was a cartoon, and very dark looking. There was a boy and a girl creature, they had a weird color to them and they were underground trying to out of the underworld. I just remember at the end of the movie the ground had shattered and light came down through, where they accomplished there journey.
