At the highway speeds, a particular automobile is capable of an accelaration of about 1.6 m/s2. At this rate, how long does it takes to accelerate from 80 km/h to 110 km/h?

First convert to m/s. 80km/hour *1000m/km*1hour/3600sec = 22.22 m/s. Do the same for 110 km/h and get 30.56 m/s. Now the formula is V2= V1+aT so simply plug into the formula 30.56 = 22.22 +1.6(T) and it should be 5.21 seconds.
