Hello, I have a 2002 dodge intrepid that has white smoke and burning plastic smell coming from the engine. I bought the car used and notice that coolant deminished really fast and found I had a leak coming from the radiator. I got the radiator fixed but I am still losing a lot of coolant. I looked at the oil it was normal and I also reved the gas with the radiator cap off and I did not see any bubbles. I don't drive very far before the smoke starts and when I turn off my car there are clicking noises. The coolant and smoke are the only two problems. Does anyone have any idea as to what could be wrong?

If you're losing coolant, you don't see any real leaks, and you have white smoke from the exhaust... yeah, probably a head gasket.

What if the smoke is from the engine and not the exhaust or are they the same thing?

If it's coming from the engine itself, like under the hood, there is probably a leak spraying coolant. You will need to look for a leak or take it to a shop and have it pressure tested if you can't see it yourself.
