I really need to know! I am doing a stupid science project and I have to know 30 "reasonable" ways to sprain your ankle. Help fast!!

Missing your step going down the stairs.

I sprained mine jumping out of a cherry tree and landed badly.

My mil sprained her when she caught her foot on the leg of the kitchen table as she got up out of her chair and started to walk to the stove.

Her husband sprained his when he walked down stairs and thought he was at the bottom but there was one more stair, so he stepped down hard and twisted his ankle.

I am sorry, somewhere I can't believe that a school report needs you to list ways to sprain your ankle ? Please explain what type of study this is

1.Fall down the stairs
2. Pound it
3. Twist it all the way around
4. Trip over something big
5. Drop something heavy on it
Hope that helped!

You answered your own question? Why?

Yeah... something weird is going on here... First, you answered your own question and then said "Hope that helped!"... then I have trouble believing that a science project would require "30 reasonable ways to sprain your ankle"... then to add to that, I remember these 2 threads from a while ago and it makes me wonder even more...

Odinn, none of the 3 threads are related. Although they sound the same, they are different members.

Well, in fairness, I am not actually claiming them to be the same person... though it may have come across that way. Just seems odd to me, that's all. I still wonder why they needed to answer their own question in this thread as if they were someone else.

1.) Fell of a skateboard
2.) Tripped on an eskalator or however you spell it
3.) Trpped over a toy
4.) Slipped on some dirty clothes
5.) Someone pushed me out of the car ( not moving)

Looks like someone might have more than one account, wants to answer questions, and forgot to sign off one account before answering this question.

Is that what's going on here? Otherwise I have no idea why you would be answering your own question, and then telling yourself that you hope you helped.

The proper way to answer this question, if this isn't a fishy thing, is to figure out what a sprain is. Once you figure out what a sprain is than you can think of a hundred ways of doing it.

I don't know if this will help but this morning I was running with my dog and I went to turn around while I was still running and I bent my ankle and it hurt
