I have a Kenmore washer 80 series model 110, After the spin cycle finishes there is still some water in the washing machine. We restart the cycle and then all the water is gone. This doesn't always happen, sometimes it works fine. Any ideas would be appreciated

Is your washer located in a basement location? Kenmore has a real problem with their washing machine pumps and they and Whirlpool are totally aware of it but continue to sell these machines. We have our third replacement, which is being picked up Saturday and we are not going to purchase another machine from Sears. We have been trying to get one that works for the last three weeks or so, and each replacement model they swear will work, but none do and the technicians are completely familiar with the problem, even the last delivery person told me that the new one wouldn't work from the basement location either, which it didn't. The manual states that the machine can pump up to 96" but it cannot pump any where near that height. From what I have since read, it can only pump up a couple feet. The problem mostly occurs on the Delicate and Permanent Press cycles but also on the Normal cycle if washing heavy items such as towels. If it is still under warranty, I would call them and get your money back, as apparently, the pumps will also burn out faster if pumping up. You can check the Sears website under the top loading machines and read all the poor reviews. sears.com (http://sears.com)
