I've always had an irregular period... like it would only come every 3-4 months and be for a week. About a month ago I bled really light for 3 weeks and now I've been bleeding really heavy for 2 week. I'm not sure what to do...

Well, don't keep being scared. You need to just go to the doctor and get checked out and get help getting back onto a normal cycle. There are a lot of manageable reasons that some women have irregular cycles. And it's just kind of something adults have to get over - whatever embarrassment we might have talking about these things to a doctor. When you consider half the population has the same parts as you and a great many have the same questions and concerns, you realize it's not a big deal.

Sometimes you're just young and your body takes a while to get onto a normal cycle. Other times, particularly when a person is underweight or athletic, their period can come sporadically. Sometimes doctors will prescribe a low dose of birth control because it regulates your cycle, to get you on track with a normal schedule. There are other things they can do, depending on what's going on.

The thing is, there's no sense in sitting around being scared or worried or embarrassed because if something is wrong, best to figure it out immediately to preserve your ability to have children when you are older. If nothing is wrong, well, you can find that out and stop worrying. In either case, something can probably be done to improve your quality of life by resolving what you're going through.
