I have filed child support on my child father because he doesn't support my child any type of way I tried to humble and patient with him giving him enough of time to help with his child but he doesn't seem to care and would rather spend his money on other women's and their kids while I'm stuck taking care of our son. So I told him I filed child support and he went to apply for ssi because he doesn't want to pay child support he case is still pending is there anything I can do about this just in case he is approve before the child support office steps in so he can make payments. I just think this is totally wrong in every type of way to apply for ssi to avoid child support. Thanks

Wrong yes, illegal, maybe not.
You should still follow through on your petition for support.
But I have to say that you chose to have sex with this man. If he was this much of a louse, then you shouldn't have risked having a child with him.

Sure its legal. For example he could say his leg hurt and being disabled he got depressed. It's a slippery slope. The man\in reason for asking is because if he is applying for SSD and not SSI then your child will receive a benefit if it is granted.
SSI leaves no room for child support payments as it is a supplement income meant to stand alone.

I just hate the fact people like him can receive assistance and I can't because I receive too much income but what if my petition came back before his ssi then what would happen?

We can't predict what the review board will do. But they do usually do a good job of ferreting out frauds.
Even if you are given an award before, once his SSI is approved he can go back for a modification.

Thanks I sure hope this bum is scoop out for fraud because its not fair because an guy receive ssi he doesn't have to pay child support and he can make as many babies he wants while other guys that are actually working get taxed with child support even income tax refund taking there should be some type of law about these guys.

Not unless you have concrete proof.
