Call your previous employers... nobody here will know or have access to that info.

The subject title of your post is about finding a 401(k), but the message askes about an IRA - which is it?

To find an old 401(k) you can call your old former employer as smoothy suggests to see how to track it down. They should be able to give you the name and contact info of the plan administrator, which is typically a bank, insurance company, or investment firm such as Fidelity or Vanguard. Then you call that administartor and give them your mailing address so that they can send you an updated account statement.

If you meant IRA, then you should have records of investments you made over the years to fund the account. You should also receive an annual notice for tax purposes that shows the amount you have invested.
