Hi..
I am single mother of two and I am sooooo tired of working for "corporate america " and it's wages. I would like to branch out on my own and start a residential & small office cleaning service- but I need to know about getting licensed , bonded & insured- can someone please help me.

I am interested in starting a residential cleaning business. How do I go about getting licensed and insured? What is the cost?

Licesne, you go down to city hall and pay for a business license. The cost will depend on the city, and in some the expected revenue.

Bonded ( why, has any client required it, are you going to have employees you want bonded)

Insured, many ( liability, insurance on the equipment) the auto you drive has to be shown as used in business, if you have workers you will need workers comp, and of course you have the issues of health insurance once you are self employed.

So what you do for insurance is go visit a full line or independent agent for some quotes
