Hi.
I am having trouble printing some documents, and was hoping someone might be able to help me find out what's wrong (as the troubleshooter couldn't help me).
The printer is networked with 3 computers. It is printing fine off two of the computers, but as luck would have it, the one with the documents that I need is not printing. I am not able to save these documents to USB, or email them, as they are part of a computer program that is only on this computer.
The printer is a Brother MFC-9320CW, and the status just says "Error - Printer busy".
This is not the first time that it has happened either. It first happened to a colleague of mine a few weeks ago, and then the next day it just started working again.
I have tried turning everything off and on again, and unplugging everything and plugging it back in again.
I am not a very technical person, so could the answers please be simple? Thanks.

There is a few more pieces of information needed to resolve this.
I need to verify the following:
So far what is known is:
Printer: Brother MFC-9320CW
Network is a 3 machine network
2 machines print fine to this printer
Symptoms have been seen before
__________________________________________________ ______
I need some additional information so we can troubleshoot this:
Are there more than 3 computers (or servers) within this network?
Are there more than this Brother printer included and accessible to this network
Is the printer directly on the network or is it connected to a computer that is on the network.
Additionally:
[1] For each Computer separately:
(number them Computer 1 through? And Label each printer A through? )
What is the Operating system? (XP, Win7, ...)
Is the Brother (or any other printer) connected directly to this machine.
If not the Brother, what is the make and model of the printer
Does this computer access the network by direct connect or via wireless connection
Can you save a text document created on this computer to all other computers on the network
If not, to which computer can this computer not save the document.
[2] When the symptoms occurred previously;
was it to the same or a different computer?
was it in relation to the same application you inferred?
I will be able to proceed as soon as I get this additional information
Thank you

There are only three computers on the network. This printer is the only one on the network. The printer is connected directly to the network, not to the computers.
I am not at work at the moment, and so I will have to go by memory to answer the rest of the questions.
Computer 1 (the one that is not printing) is Windows XP. This computer is directly connected to the network. I cannot save a text document that was created on this computer to any of the other computers.
This is the computer that it happened on previously as well.
The computer previously had no antivirus software on it, and when I pointed it out to the manager, we found that we could not download any antivirus software from the internet, so we had to buy some. When we ran the scan, it found 23 viruses. Since then, the computer has trouble opening Microsoft Outlook, and on occasion, Microsoft Excel.
When the computer is turned off, it usually takes a couple of tries to get it to turn on again. It just gets stuck on the "Intel" start screen, and says 51.
Computer 2 is Windows 98. It is connected directly to the network. I have not tried creating a text document on this computer, so I am unsure if it saves to the other computers on the network.
We only use this computer to run a gate access program. We do not turn this computer off. We have only ever had a problem with it once when there was a power surge. I was able to fix it the next day.
Computer 3 is a Mac OS X Mountain Lion. It is connected wirelessly to the network. I have tried sharing text, but it does not show on Computer 1 or Computer 2. It is a new computer, and we run Windows 7 Parallels program on it, so that we can run the new database program that we are going by now.
We are just in the process of transferring everything from Computer 1 to Computer 3 so that we can get rid of Computer 1.
I hope that gives you enough information :)

Are you printing to a shared printer or to a printer via IP address? Also reload your drivers and reinstall the printer. If you can not save or open documents to sand from other networked computers check your network setup and your permissions on a;ll attacherd devices.
