This problem started happening few days back, the garage door is four years old.

When I press the remote to open the door, the garage overhead door just blinks 4 or 5 times and then shuts off. But if I used the wall mounted switch, the garage door opens fine.

Also when the garage is open, the remote works fine and I can close the door with the remote. I just can't open the door with the remote.

Has anyone heard of this problem before. Any ideas on what to look for.
