A Tree that is Anne Arundel county's tree. Is destroying my drive way and yard. Is there anything I can do about this? I am worried that it will do something to pipes, foundation.

I can understand how it might destroy a paved driveway of its at the curb next to it... but how is it destroying your yard?
Where is this tree at exactly... I assume its in the county right of way near the road. And how big is it.

The county right of way is right at the tree 25 feet from the road... and giant roots are going through the driveway and into the yard close to clean-out drains. The tree is about 100 feet high. We contacted the county and talked to a dozen different people ending up with a man who requested pictures.. had guys come out to put markers... etc. and haven't heard anything since. That was a year ago.

A tree that big is really old... IF it was a much younger tree you might have more success... I'm in Fairfax County and we tend to hang on to any trees of that age... though we are much more urban than your county is on average. (I assume you are in MD).
I assume they like me are thinking if there were impending problems you would have had them long before now. And they are treating it as such.

Have you tried contacting any elected reps? Sounds to me that they know it is an expensive problem to solve and like most local governments don't have many funds for non-emergencies. And/or possibly they are concerned that there would be opposition from the tree lovers if this is a huge old tree. But anyway. You are near the political capital of MD so don't give up until you have tried the political options too.
