The question is about my daughter
I will be flying from the US to Russia to pick up my daugther. My wife will fly from Kazakhstan to Russia so we plan to meet up in the airport. My wife doesn't need a visa to got Russia because she is a citizen of Kazakhstan. But we are not sure about our daughter since she is a US citizen. She won't leave the airport it will be like a connection flight back to the US. So we are not sure if she needs a Russian visa when she gets there from KZ.

If she left the airport to sitesee, yes she would need a visa, but if she is just connecting and staying in the airport, no, she doesn't need a visa.
