Just need confirmation before proceeding. The external overflow pump keeps running which tells me that the internal float switch is not triggering the pump to turn off. So that can only be one thing... the water level isn't dropping in the tank which means a clogged line. Problem is that the line goes up through my ceiling. My question: Can I just run a new line from the pum instread of tearing into my ceiling? Makes much more sense. By the way... should I install a one way check valve in the line to keep the water from backing up on the pump?
