Hi I have 3 children already but I am with a new partner now I had a misscarriage at 16 weeks as I caught ecoli, I had to have an op to remove the placenta, 5 months later I took a pregnancy test and it was positive a few days later I got my period I knew about early misscarriage's so I knew it was that 2 months later I had the same thing! I don't understand what I should do or who to go to as my doctor ain't much help.

I suggest that you are getting pregnant too soon after the surgery and the miscarriage. I'd use birth control for over a year, starting now. That is not based on science or stats, just my experience and what I hear.

One of the disadvantages of these early pregnancy tests is that we find out about these early term miscarriages. Our mothers and grandmothers didn't know if they had these experiences so didn't suffer the hurt of knowing about it.
I agree with joypulv that maybe your body isn't up to a pregnancy at this time. That can happen.
I would recommend that you just take care of your health, take prenatal vitamins to ready your body for a pregnancy, avoid alcohol and cigarettes and all those things that are bad for pregnancy, and just enjoy your life. If you get pregnant, great.
If after a full year of trying you do not have a lasting pregnancy, then a doctor will more seriously look into fertility issues.
