Well second year in row this is happening with my furnace. Last year it seemed that the blower motor had overheated so I turned down the thermostat, took of the access door for the blower motor and just let it cool of for about 20 minutes. It seemed to work perfectly after that.

This year, the motor doesn't want to turn by itself. It doesn't seem warm or as hot as it was last year. I can hear a gentle hum, like it wants to turn, but nothing happens. I kind of give it a kick-start (meaning I turn the drum with a wooden spoon) and then it will turn on and blow just fine for that time. There isn't any risistance when I turn the drum, it doesn't make any funny noises, no squeeks, nothing, just that it doesn't want to work.

Your blower motor needs replaced.
