Ok so I'm already 6 days late with my period and every hpt that I've done shows up negative.also I had an ultrasound done yesterday and there's something as tiny as a dot on the lining of my womb wich the doctor says could be anything.I've been having many symptoms now and the main 1 being my missed period.. Could it be too early for me to determine or is there any other reasons that this is happening?

Did your doctor do any blood work to determine if you're pregnant?
If you are newly pregnant, an ultrasound would probably be too early. Anything sooner than six weeks will not give you much information. At this point, HCG lab draws that get repeated at 48-72 hours are your best bet.

No blood work was done as I was a bit afraid because all this is new for me so I was down for all of the simplest ways to determine whether I'm pregnant.The doctor says and I've calculated that if I am pregnant then I should be 5 weeks by now,is this too early?if so how long more should I wait?
