I am in my mid 20s (female) and I have a very familiar situation. The only time my boyfriend and I ever have sex is when he initiates it. I've initiated a few times and it's not that he says no, I just don't feel like he's all that into it. I don't want to force him, so I figure, when he wants it, he'll ask. Lately it's gotten to a point where it's been a few months. Our relationship is really good other than this. The love is definitely there, but the sex is not. It makes me really insecure. I've spoken to him about it and he assures me that it has nothing to do with him not wanting it, but then he goes on to make excuses like he never has time. It's a huge turn off to feel unwanted, so I barely even want sex from him anymore. I also don't want a sexless relationship. I'm worried that it's too late to fix.

When people say how grea the love is and how good things are except in bed I get suspicious that something has been over looked.

Its not unusual for sex drives to get more and less intense in people and there will also be times of conflicts that get in the way from time to time. The key is keep talking and make sure the facts of the feelings is known to your partner.

Its an ongoing process to get and stay on the same page, and when it becomes not worth it, then what's the point? Maybe this isn't the forever love you thought it was.

Talk and find out.
