My husband and I just moved to AZ from TX. While we were in TX, we got into a physical altercation 2 years ago and my husband was arrested on a class A misdemeanor. We fixed our problems, and went to marriage counseling (still going, actually). He was put on 1 year probation, and right after that we moved to AZ, TX was able to transfer the probation to AZ and everything was going as planned.
His AZ probation officer called today and said we can't live together. That if one of doesn't move out that AZ will deny his probation, and my husband will have to go back to TX. My husband called the probation board in Texas and they said there's no restrictions on his probation; that we CAN live together. My husband even contacted the DA from his case, and she sent an email saying the same thing: there are no restrictions, and we absolutely can live together. But, Arizona continues to say no.
We can't live apart, I don't work, we have a 22 month old and I have no family. My husband is the one who supports us. The probation officer in Texas said she's going to investigate, and try and fix this. I pray she can.
Does anyone know about Arizona laws, and why this is happening?
