Did you send copies of your letter to the prosecutor and your wife's attorney?
Is there a hearing scheduled? If the judge receives the letter prior to the hearing, the letter should explain itself. Be sure to let your wife's attorney know you are there in case the attorney or the judge has any questions.
Did you clearly explain why having someone else take care of the kids is not an option?
