Do you mean, tell your employer?

While I would not tell everyone I worked with, I would tell my employer. It may be that he/she would read something in the newspaper, as in "nubs of the news" (as it is called here - the daily court proceedings of city, county, and federal courts). I would defuse something before it even became a question. I would be honest and explain the situation. That way if any other of your co-workers said something someday, your employer would not be caught unawares.

Now you may also get counsel that says if your employer does not ask, you do not have to say anything. That could be true too. It may be that this situation never sees the light of day. Did you go to court? Was it dismissed? Did you receive probation or a fine or just an admonition from the Judge?

You have to make up your own mind on this. Weigh the benefits of not telling versus the benefits of telling.
