I met this guy on the Internet who is about 25, I was 16 at the time And also manic when he asked I said I was 17. I was used to guys just randomly stop talking to me after a couple weeks but didn't think anything of it. But then he didn't stop talking he was really kind and cared about me. It's been a few months and now I don't know what to do. I love him. I don't throw that word around lightly. I don't know what to do. I would rather not be together than lie to him but I really don't want to hurt him. I'm so confused and scared. I hate that I did this I feel so horrible

Stay calm and be yourself! It's not really a big deal.Take some time off until you're ready to face him and tell the truth!

Why would you think not letting a 25 year old man know you're a minor is not a big deal?
I'm wondering why a 25 year old man is talking to what he thinks is a 17 year old.
You say you love him, have you actually met this man?
Tell him you lied to him about your age and be done with it.

That was my concern too. Whether you are 16 or 17 matters little when the guy is 25. As soon as he learned you were 17 he should have cut you off. That he didn't bothers me a great deal.

I don't get this big huge deal. You were 16 not long ago (how long, actually?) and now are 17. Your lie was off by some months. TELL HIM. Tell him that 17 just sounded so much older than 16.
Have you two been together in person or is this still an online romance?
