I'm thinking of getting one of those High Powered blenders for making those Vegetable/Fruit drinks for all the Health reasons/benefits.
As you know, the cheap $25 blenders we all have do NOT make a smooth enough drink. So I'm trying to convince myself, and I'm almost there, to buy one of the two finalists for this task:
Vitamix
Or
Mega Ninja Blender
Anyone here have either of those?

Anyone?
Anyone try the new Mega Ninja with 2 HP motor? It's $200.
The Vitamix is about $500 with a 2 HP motor.

Son in Law has the ninja but not the mega. We tried smoothies from both machines about a year ago and the vitamix won. The ninja had larger particles each time we made a smoothie. Our vita mix is the old stainless steel kind back in the late 1980's. Called 3600 plus. It is a 2 horse machine too. Hope this helps.

I have a Vitamix and don't like it because the blade seals leak after a while. I have had to replace the blades several times. I'm thinking of getting the Ninja Mega because it has the same power (1500 w) but it's a lot cheaper ($200 v. $500). It also includes a food processor as well as a blender and seems to have a much better multiple-blade arrangement that makes snow out of ice and blends finer. The Vitamix seems grossly overpriced for a lot less. The Ninja has a five-year guarantee..
