Was with my boyfriend for 3 1/2years after a year of unhapiness, I'd had enough due to false promises & going out with his mates but not me & not treating me like a girlfriend, we both enjoy drinking etc. We split for 8 months during the separation he kept contacting me to try again to which I said no. But 5 months ago I agreed to meet & was shocked by feelings that I still felt for him, since then we've had a great time & he assured me he saw the errors in his ways & never wanted to loose me again. But over the last month there's been two occasions where he just ignores my calls for days, & then says he just needs his own time which I don't have problem with if he would just let me know. I don
't understand why he would put so much effort in to getting me back to then treat me how he used to. Problem is I've fallen back in love with him. Help!

I think he just likes the idea of dating you but falls short of actually showing his love you. I would tell him he has one more chance to prove to you that he is genuinely in love with you. If not, forget about him and choose someone else. I'm sure there are lots of guys out there who would love to take you on a date :) just stay strong and accept whatever happens as a stepping stone to your happily ever after
