I have blender that I really like. Some of the reviews say that the motors burn out easily due to overheating. I would like to put a thermal cut off switch on the motor to prevent overheating. The vita-mix blender has a thermal coupler that automatically shuts it off when it overheats and turns ot back on when it cools down.

I need to know what temperatures range of a switch to buy and where exactly on the motor to place it.

Thanks

Almost an impossible question to answer. There are many such switches, all different sizes, set points etc. How do know if you have room to install? Simplest thing would be a refrigerator compressor thermal switch. They are cheap and reset themselves. Go to an appliance parts supply and see what they have.
