My ex & I had a long distance relationship, he lives in Wisconsin, I live in Ohio. We met through school. It's always been pretty hard on us. Sometimes we have little breakups but then everything is usually fine because we know its just a difficult situation. We've been broken up for a week now & I don't know how to make things better. He acts like he wants to still be with me, but he's an extremely stubborn person. If I don't text him for a while, he'll text me but if I text him he acts like he doesn't want to talk usually. Basically, I want to surprise him by showing up in Wisconsin to show him how much I love him which is what I feel like I should do. Kind of like something you see in the movies. Is that crazy? Should I do it?

I say do it. :) it's cute and will answer your questions about being together and making long distance work or not.

Omg I've been in your shoes! But he lives in Toronto and I live in england.. anyway.. I say take your time.. Before you get into this whole thing make sure there's a way out.. I wanted to surprise my ex in canada to show him how much I want him.. But the only difference between your situation and mine is that I chose to tell him... and he sounded happy about it but never asked me about it again.. so take your time..

I don't understand.
He's your ex. He's trying to do no contact, which is why he doesn't want to text with you. Instead of taking the hint, you want to show up where he is and surprise him?
It will definitely be a surprise a "crap, the girl I broke up with, and have been trying to avoid, is now stalking me" sort of surprise.
The movies aren't real life. Things like this rarely work out in real life.
Move on. That's why you two broke up.
