View Full Version : How to fix a old stained cabinet that has spots of sap(?) seeping through?

After buying an old painted dry sink stand, my husband sanded it down to the bare wood and then put a walnut stain on it. Now it is marked with a light colored something? That is bleeding in small yet very noticeable spots, throughout the stained wood. Is there a way to seal and restain it again or to whitewash over the stain. Some suggestion to hide the spots... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as so much time has gone into trying to refinish it. Thank you
