Fired from my last job and now I am being denied unemployment benefits Reason for decision: Our investigation found your employer fired you for violation of company rules & policies. This is considered misconduct connected with the work. Patient says I told her friend that she needed her teeth cleaned and it had been a year since she had her teeth cleaned. I have always maintained patient's confidentallly and it is my word against her word. How does someone prove I said this? Not aware of being recorded and not aware anyone hearing me supposedly saying this. I feel the patient was looking for a free ride and scared my ex boss.
Where do I go to get answers, I am so consumed with this situation that I cannot sleep or eat. I asked an instructor of HIPAA and he could not or would not answer my questions?? Bob at Hipaa training dot net is who I contacted and said get an attorney. I cannot get an attorney. I am so broke. Thanks, Debbie

Did you say that about teeth cleaning to the friend?

Is there a legal aid society in your area (attorneys who work at a low cost)? Also, an attorney will often give a free consultation to let you know if you have a case or not.
