Me and my ex were friends of a year before he asked me out. We dated for two weeks then he broke up with me saying that he wasn't ready for a relationship even though he has had 11 ex girlfriends before he dated me. It doesn't make sense can someone please explain this.

I don't know him so I can't say for sure but I know a lot of guys use this as an excuse to get out of a relationship they aren't into. Basically like its not you its me type of thing. If indeed he did date you to try to get over someone and realized he couldn't and had to break up with you then okay but I wouldn't be surprised if it's the first one. Either way I would forget about him and move on.

Sometimes people (men and women) say that when they were just hurt by the last relationship, and they aren't sure they want to go through the pain again anytime soon. He might even still be in love with someone else and is trying to date because people tell him to try. Try to tell yourself it's not because there's anything wrong with you!

It's a white lie. What he really meant was "I'm not ready for a relationship with you."
