Hello,

I received a non-employee compensation listed in Line 7 of my 1099-misc form that I received as a cpt student working for a company.

As I am an f-1 student, I am filing a 1040NREZ form.

So where should I put the 1099 information? Should I add it up to the wages, tips and salaries line (line 3)?

If not, can you please tell me the procedure?

Thanks

Sri

You need to file Form 1040NR, because the Form 1099-MISC dictates that you also file Schedule C to document the 1099 income.

Schedule C CANNOT be filed with Form 1040NR-EZ; it must be filed with Form 1040NR.

So,should I file my W2 information with the 1040 NR EZ and then file the 1099 MISC info with a 1040NR form separately?

No, file BOTH the W-2 and the Form 1099-MISC on the Form 1040NR.
