I am 38 and at the time I was 36 when I was charged with theft by taking on the job. I am a first offender, never been in trouble in my life with the law until I got with this guy I was dating and who was a coworker. He stole money and I didn't. I am wondering is there any job out there that I can get and get a second chance and prove I am not what I was charged with.

I'm sorry you didn't have a better lawyer, if you didn't help with the theft.
There is no such thing as 'jobs for first offenders,' nor any kind of offenders. There aren't even enough jobs for everybody, except in South Dakota, and maybe the far far north of Alaska.
You get jobs where your background isn't checked, or where they don't want to hear about misdemeanors (if yours was), or where you explain yourself as best you can. Eventually enough years go by that a check might not go back that far, according to what an employer will pay for.
